Oakland-based ThredUp raised $168 million in its public-market debut. It is among a handful of clothing and accessory resale marketplaces to go public in recent years. The RealReal, a marketplace for authenticated pre-owned luxury items, went public in 2019 and Poshmark, another marketplace for users to buy and sell pre-owned clothing and accessories, went public in January 2021.
Los Angeles-based Preveta, a data-driven cancer care coordination platform for health care providers, raised $1.95 million in seed funding led by MaC Venture Capital and TSVC.
Sequoia Capital India has closed on $195 million for a new seed fund that will back entrepreneurs across India and Southeast Asia. The new fund closing comes two years after Sequoia raised the same amount for its last seed fund for the region. In other news, Nuro a developer of robotics-enabled autonomous delivery vehicles, announced new investments from Woven Capital, Chipotle and other new investors.
